The Victoria Photography Club invites all area photographers to enter the 2022 Annual Photography Contest/Exhibition. The submission dates are between July 1st through July 31st .

More than $1500.00 in combined prize money will be awarded in the adult and student divisions.

In the adult division, there are nine categories: Animals/Fauna, Birds, Building/Structures, Close-up/Macro, Creative, Flowers/Plants, Landscape/Scenic, Miscellaneous and People/Portraits. The student division is not divided by category.

First place in each adult category will receive $75.00 and a rosette, second place will receive $50.00 and a rosette and third place will receive $25.00 and a rosette. Best in Show will receive $125.00 and a rosette. In addition, Richard of Korczynski Photo Lab & Studio will select 3 Photographs and provide the following:

First award: 16×20 stretched canvas print
Second award: 16×20 watercolor print
Third award: 16×20 mounted print.

There is a $6.00 entry fee for each adult entry with no limit on the number of entries.

The student division is open to all students of high school and lower grades and has one general category. First place is $30.00 and a rosette, second place is $20.00 and a rosette and third place is $10.00 and a rosette. Entry fee is $3.00. If students want to participate in the adult competition, the appropriate fee must be paid, and photo entered in a particular category. Adult division rules and requirements must be followed. Then, they are eligible for the adult prizes. Students who compete in the Adult Division are eligible for the “Best of Show” competition.

On August 6th a panel of three qualified judges will select the winning photographs based on technical merit, impact, composition, and suitability of category. The exhibition will take place at the Victoria Mall between August 13th and August 20th during mall hours.
