Library News: As Port O’ Connor’s temperatures rise, things are heating up at the POC Library as well, and its Librarian, Michelle Marlin, is running full throttle, accommodating summertime Library visitors as the library’s usage increases by leaps and bounds! The Library’s “Summer Reading Program” is in full swing, and all children in Port O’ Connor are encouraged to participate; read over the summer months; log their hours; and be entered into a drawing for great prizes, which will be presented at the Awards Ceremony in July! The Summer Reading Program also offers fun, wonderful programs every Tuesday beginning June 7, 2022 through July 26, 2022, 10:30-11:30 AM. Please see the schedule below. All children from newborn to age 17 are encouraged to participate!
Friends of the POC Library: The Library’s support group, Friends of the POC Library, is having their annual Membership Drive. The Friends welcome all who would like to join this hardworking group in supporting the POC Library, and will have their Annual Meeting at 4:30 p.m. on June 21, 2022 in the Multipurpose Room of the Library. The Friends encourage all Members to attend the Annual Meeting, and also welcome any and all who would like to join the Friends of the Library at that time! Membership forms will be available for all who are interested. The Friends appreciate the generosity and support of the POC Community as we continue to do wonderful things for our beautiful POC Library!

Hayden Dean was the lucky winner of this “Amazon Kindle Fire” in the drawing held by the “Friends of the POC Library” at their final Children’s Program for the 2021/2022 school year!! The Friends’ monthly Children’s Programs will resume in September of 2022!!!
