Our FBC Pastor Search Committee has invited our present interim pastor, Brother Richard Schaller to be our new full time pastor. He has been preaching for the last several weeks. If you have not heard him preach or watched services on Facebook, now is the time . The church will send out notices letting members know we will be voting after the 11:00 service on May 28, 2023. This is an important event in the life of FBC. Please make plans to attend on the last Sunday of the month and be a part of the decision making process. Our committee has worked very hard to follow God’s direction and believe they have been led by Him to make this choice for our church. God is good and we look forward to seeing what this new chapter in the life of our church will bring. Please Pray for all involved.

School is almost out for the summer and that means our TEAM KIDS program is over until August. We will be having our end of year party on front beach on Wednesday, May 17 from 6:00 until 7:30. We will have games, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones, plus so much fun and fellowship. This is the end of our second year with these young people. I can’t begin to tell you how much we love having them here at FBC each week. They have all learned so much about the Lord and the Bible. We have learned from them how thirsty they are to take in everything they can about being a Christian. We so look forward to the program starting again next fall!

In the meantime, Vacation Bible School will be held June 12 through June 15 from 9:00 until 12:00 each day. Parents or family members can sign up on line soon. Watch for the link to sign up on the fbc page and the fbc vbs page on Facebook. Volunteers are needed. Contact the church or Candice Stryker for more details.

Our Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Box Project goes on all year long. We collect items and mailing money each week. A list of suggested items include chalk, colorful bandaids, bar soap, brushes, combs, crayons, hair items, wash cloths, small toys, sewing supplies, fish hooks and fishing line. So many useful things will go into a shoe box. Please choose to be a part of this wonderful undertaking. The last two years we’ve filled 200 boxes!! We want to surpass that this year.

We collect each week for our Community’s Food Bank. This is a pressing need in our community during these hard times. Many of our neighbors have trouble making ends meet and need our help. Every food item donated is quickly given out to those in need.. Please think about bringing non perishable food items to church each week. We will take them to Fisherman’s Chapel to be handed out. God bless each one who supports this project.

FBC is waiting to welcome you. Our official greeter extraordinaire, Evelyn Kitchens, is by the door every week to greet you with a hug and make you feel at home with us. Besides Sunday school for all ages at 10:00 and church at 11:00 and 6:00, we have Bible study for women on Tuesday at 4:00 in our Fellowship Hall. We will be starting a new study in June. Anyone is welcome to join us.
