Seadrift Police Chief Marie Carisalez wants to connect with the Seadrift community. Her opportunity came when the Seadrift School had their Meet the Teachers event on August 10th.

Chief Carisalez was ready with her brightly decorated table with donated balloons and packets for the kids. Each packet had rulers, pencils, and erasers promoting the Seadrift Police Department. Oh, and don’t forget the police stickers that most everyone wanted!

Cookies and punch were added to draw even the most bashful to the table. Over 100 parents and their kids came by her table. Way to go, Chief!
