Pam Williams, a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born in Alburquerque, New Mexico on November 29, 1942, and lived a life filled with generosity and adventure.

After graduating from high school, Pam attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, earning her degree in retailing. She soon married Mike Wilson and moved to Hereford, Texas where she worked as a department store buyer. Pam also taught senior government and sophomore geography at Hereford High School. Hereford is the birthplace of her only child, Sandy. Pam then moved to Fort Worth in 1966 and was working as a file clerk at Anadarko Production Co. when she became fascinated by the oil industry.

This led to a secretarial position with Bill Beuck, who Pam credited with igniting her interest in geology.
Pam later went to work for Bass Enterprises, simultaneously attending classes at TCU and UT Arlington.
She earned her degree in geology in 1983. She was remarried in 1998 to James “Chuck” Williams and relocated to San Antonio where she worked with Chuck in his many business ventures. Her favorite pastimes were fishing while vacationing in Port O’Connor, shopping, yard work and finding the best restaurants in town.

Pam was extremely grateful for the Mayfield family, with whom she shared many years of memories.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chuck; and sister, Patti Lewis.
Pam is survived by her sister, Catherine Humphries; daughter, Sandra L. Hamilton; grandson, Christopher G. Hamilton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pam was honored with a “Celebration of Life” on May 18, 2024 at The Petroleum Club of San Antonio.

Interment was alongside her beloved mother and stepfather at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In honor of Pam, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
