Every veteran was celebrated at the Seadrift School on November 8… every war, every battle, at home and abroad. What drove this nation was a love for God and country. Sacrifice was expected. Families were the backbone of support.
If you haven’t attended one of the Veteran’s Day programs at the Seadrift School, please make plans to attend next year’s program. You will be so glad you did!
This year’s program was wonderful. The children had a lot to sing about… our freedoms and how our veterans secured those freedoms! Songs that were included in the program were: “You’re a Grand Old Grand Old Flag”, “America the Beautiful”, “Stars and Stripes Forever”, “My America”, and “Hallelujah”. The Presentation of the Colors was proudly presented by Cub Scout Pack 106 led by Eagle Scout John Caylor. 8th grade students celebrated our Armed Forces with a unique presentation of military flags. There was a POW and MIA table on display. Taps were played at the end of the program with a benediction that followed.
You can celebrate veterans all year round by letting them know how much you appreciate them.
