A Testament to Teamwork and Preservation of Texas Maritime History:

The restoration effort stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to preserving the rich maritime history of Matagorda Bay. This area has been a vital navigational point for countless men and women who have relied on its guidance as they journeyed to the second oldest port in Texas. Together, we hope to ensure that the Matagorda Island Lighthouse continues to shine brightly for all who rely on its direction.
