Cheyenne Beaver was sworn in as Seadrift’s Chief of Police at the monthly city council meeting on March 11, 2025. The following is a little poem dedicated to her:

Cheyenne Beaver, one of Seadrift’s own,

came to be its Chief of Police…

Why, I even took this picture on my phone!

Cheyenne’s family has a deep history in these parts.

Her grandparents worked on the Bay.

Fishing was one of their arts.

How happy is Cheyenne to finally work here!

She will do Seadrift good all through the year
