Andrew E. Ureste, 59, of Seadrift, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013. He was born July 17, 1953 in Port Lavaca to the late George and Clara Gonzalez Ureste. He was a Catholic and a commercial fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry A. Ureste of Seadrift; daughters, Sharron Kay Salinas of Seadrift, Andrea Ureste Palacios of Yorktown, Sara Kina Ureste of Yorktown, and Filomena Clara Ureste of Yorktown; son, Andrew Eugene Covarrubias Ureste Jr. of Seadrift; sister, Bobbie Clara Carrera of Port Lavaca; brothers, George Ureste, John Gilbert Ureste, and Samuel Albert Ureste, all of Seadrift; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service was held on March 21, 2013 at Port O’Connor Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew C. Ureste Jr., Samuel Albert Ureste Jr., Albert Martin Ureste, Anthony Carrera, Sara Kina Ureste, and Erasmo Montemayor. Honorary pallbearers: Christopher Ureste and grandchildren.
