Winners of the Port O’Connor Chamber’s Kids Fishing Tournament

The Port O Connor Chamber of Commerce held its annual Memorial Day Kids Fishing Tournament at King Fisher Beach on May 24, 2104. Around 60 children participated in the event. Ages 3 to 12 joined in on the summer time fun with lots of different species of fish being caught. We had a 3 foot shark, several 20 plus inch reds, whiting and even a crab brought to the measuring station.

Winners of the event:

3-5 year old:
Biggest- Riley Pagel
Most- Holden Spears
Smallest- Marshall Plummer

6-8 year olds:
Biggest-Gilbert Martinez
Most-Elli Plummer
Smallest- Sarah Vance

9-12 year olds:
Biggest- Ethan Weischwill
Most-Evan Clifton
Smallest- James Mayes III

Trophies were awarded to the winners and all participants received a Chamber of Commerce T-shirt.
