The Intercoastal 4-H club of Port O’Connor has been busy starting off this 4-H year. At the first meeting held in September, we began getting planning some upcoming volunteer activities. We participated in the Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach program on Saturday, September 26th by helping to collect trash and other debris from our beach.

On October 10th, for One-Day 4-H, the kids volunteered their time at the POC Cemetery. They hope to have another food drive to help those in need for the holidays.

October 16th will be a big night for our kids. They will be auctioning their animals at the Calhoun County Fair. We wish you all GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS for all the hard work and time you put into raising your animals. These kids have spent many hours, weeks and even months working with their turkeys, chickens, rabbits, and goat.

Please join us at the fair and show your support for an amazing group of kids!
