On Saturday, November 28, at 10:00 a.m., the Calhoun County Historical Society will be dedicating the “Camel Marker” located at the end of State Highway 316 in Indianola, Texas.

The Texas Camel Corps with Doug Baum will be stationed at the Great Camel Experiment Marker Dedication that day. This is a great time for your family to view, pet, and learn about camel care and its importance in Calhoun County and Texas History.

If the weather is inclement, the dedication program will be located at the Bauer Agricultural Building, County Road 101. The public is invited to attend, so bring your lawn chair for the short ceremony.
