Above is a photo of a nice redfish caught by our friend, Volker Weiss, while visiting from Germany. Since Volker had never been fishing before in his whole life I had to give him casting lessons before leaving the dock.
And, just like most beginners around the world, his luck paid off and he caught the first fish. Volker is now back in Germany but he is still bragging about the nice redfish he caught in Texas. Also, a special thanks to Fred Cheney who invited us to go fishing and for braving the tail end of a brisk norther. -Dave Pope
