On April 14, 2011 Calhoun County Commissioners’ Court presented the 2010 Distinguished Service Award from the Texas Historical Commission to the Calhoun County Historical Commission. Accepting the Award from County Judge Michael Pfeifer are Howard Hartzog, (left) former Chairman and Phillip Ellenberger, (right) present Chairman of the Historical Commission. This prestigious award is given to only a select few Counties in the State.
