Seadrift Cub/Boy Scout Troop 106 were presented with a check for $3,000 by Eagle Scout Captain James Cunningham that Castaway Lodge in Seadrift, Texas collected. This was the proceeds and donations from their new event, The Pumpkin Patch.

Castaway Lodge provided games, snacks, hay rides, face painting, choosing a pumpkin to take home, and pictures to remember the wonderful, family experience.

The Scouts would like to thank the owners of Castaway Lodge- Kris and Wendi Kelly, Director of Operations- Betsy Cunningham, Castaway Lodge Guides, Mr. and Mrs. Jason Guerra with Dimension Energy Services, Wavenet Wireless, HEB in Port Lavaca, Bubba and Sylvia Hall with Bubba’s Cajun Seafood, The City of Seadrift, The Seadrift Police Department and the community members who came to the Pumpkin Patch. -Leslie Shirhall
