Seadrift’s Troop 106, BSA returned from summer camp June 22, 2019. Five boys and three leaders left for Camp Karankawa at Mathis, Texas on June 16, 2019 to spend six days and nights during the camp’s 75th anniversary
.
They boys earned merit badges in first aid, canoeing, swimming, archery, game design, wood carving, environmental science, fly fishing, and fishing.

During the Friday camp-wide games, the boys won First Place in Tomahawk toss, Swimming, Fire Building, A-frame Trestle Walk, and Best Patrol Flag. In the Wall Climbing event they came in Second. For the Overall Best Score, the boys came in First Place

The Seadrift boys beat out troops from Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and Victoria
.
Boys attending were Jordan Blevins (Senior Patrol Leader), Wesley Blevins (newly appointed Quartermaster), Dean Gordillo, John Jacobs, and Aiden McClellan.

All boys also advanced one level in rank. Leaders taking the boys to camp were Scotmaster Patrick H. Henley, Louis Warrren (Troop Committeeman), and Colt Treybig (Troop Committeeman).
