Something to ponder: as you stumble through life and begin making bad decisions as in, drugs and alcohol. And I’m not talking about the occasional drink. Im talking about using drugs and alcohol as a crutch to get through the things that life throws at you. Just remember, habits become addictions. It’s all fun and games at first. But then that monkey on your back turns into a full grown gorilla and he’s got your head in his mouth. I hear people say, addiction is a disease. I don’t believe that. Addiction is a life filled with wrong decisions and once a person gets there they can’t find the exit. The God that I worship, heals the sick, makes the blind see, gives the crippled the ability to walk. My God is bigger than addiction! If you don’t ask, you can’t receive. Now, with that being said, is it gonna be rainbows and unicorns when you ask? No! It will be ugly, you will work hard, you will suffer. But in the end you will be victorious!! This struggle will make you a stronger person than you ever thought you could be. Your so called friends will turn their backs and walk away. There will be very lonely times. This is when you take the time to get to know Jesus. He will put angels in your path to lift you up. If you’re struggling, cry out, He’s there. Just remember, there are consequences for the choices you’ve made. You are rebuilding a fortress that was never meant to be destroyed. It’s a hard rebuild but so worth it. Ok, my rant is over. There are those that really need help. Ask God for guidance and foresight to make that decision. He will give you the ability to see through the fake ones.
