In times where this country and its individual states have faced crisis, we remained strong and collected and stood together to stamp out whatever ill stood in it’s way.

That is a ‘throwback ‘ for sure, because we seem to be using the coronavirus outbreak as a platform to back political ideals, when what we need now is to come together as a country (and a planet) and put aside these issues of petty politics and start addressing this outbreak together.

Of course, I’m not suggesting that every person can change it all, but we can do the little things: check on elderly neighbors, make sure to keep good hygiene, drink plenty of water and make sure we reach out to not only the elderly but those with limited mobility and mental health issues.

What we do not need to do is hoard water and toilet paper, use this pandemic to curry political favor and last, but not least, create mass hysteria by acting without kindness.

The western world has sadly been changed into a place where it is more common to look out for yourself than to lend a helping hand.

I implore everyone to be safe and follow the CDC and local news to keep in the loop about this virus and its effects and, with fingers crossed, maybe in a couple months this whole crazy scenario will have hopefully passed.

Be well, be safe and good wishes to you out there and all of your families.
