WELCOME 2021!!!!
Here we are entering a new year, and I certainly think it will be a better one for our country and the people in it. Port O’Connor has been the one place that’s as close to normal as possible. As you know this community has escaped a lot of drama that places like Houston, Austin, even Victoria have witnessed. Calhoun County, at times, has not been under a mandatory of wearing a mask. We will see what 2021 has in store for us. This has always been a community that works together and we will pull through these trying times and come out better for witnessing this and our outlook for success at this time, will make us stronger. Seems our community has flourished thrrough all this; there are new structures popping up all over, the Chamber has calls every week from individuals wanting information on building permits and other issues, I am amazed at some, I had a call this morning from a person wanting information on our City; many do not realize we are not a City. If you live here, I hope you realize what a wonderful community you live in.
At this month’s meeting the 2021 directors were decided: Darla Parker, Troy Wygrys, Dawn Ragusin, Mike Overton, Kacie Skalak, Debbie Michalek, Belinda Bush, Susan Braudaway, Sue Glover and Brent Hart. It will be decided at this month’s meeting who will be the 2021 Officers.
The February meeting will be on the 8th, at 6:30 p.m. in the Port O’Connor Community Center.
