Final preparations are being made for this year’s SWEETHEART BANQUET which will be held Thursday, February 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Port O’Connor Community Center. Each year we have a very busy Church Fellowship Committee purchasing decorations, paper goods for the meal, food, selecting entertainment, and printing tickets and programs. The Committee is making arrangements to charcoal broil the steaks the day of the banquet. Gifts have been purchased for the door prizes and for the couple married the longest and shortest time.

Ticket sales have been very good and some ticket sellers have sold all of their allotted tickets. We can only sell 200 tickets because of space limitations. Tickets are $7.00 each for this gala affair, which includes a charcoal-broiled rib eye steak with all the trimmings, salad, dessert, ice tea and coffee.  Door prizes will be awarded and the “Port O’Connor Citizen of the Year” award will be presented. Entertainment will be by John Sisk and his music and auctioneering antics. Everyone is guaranteed a thrilling and exuberating evening of entertainment and a fantastic seated dinner. You should get your tickets before they are all gone.

Tickets are available from the following: Pat Ekstrom, 983-2030; Pat Turk, 983-4343; Brenda Smith, 983-2272; Debbie Michalek, 983-2508; Evelyn Lewis, 983-4216; Mary Nell McGee, 983-2837.
See you in church Sunday!
