The National Day of Prayer is next week – Tuesday, May 3. As a Nation, we must come together, call upon Jesus to guide us through unprecedented struggles, and thank Him for the blessings of freedom we so richly enjoy according to His grace, mercy, and kindness towards us. We must, as a people, return to the faith and hope of our fathers. The ancient paths of great men were blazed in prayer; the humility of the truly great men of history was revealed in their recognition of the power and might of Jesus to save all who call on His great name.

Our Church has started our Men’s Prayer & Coffee meeting each Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. The men meet for about 30 minutes and pray for our Nation, Church Family, Port O’Connor, and our planned Revival in September. All men are invited to join.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13 and the Church will be honoring all mothers and presenting corsages to our oldest and youngest mothers. Attend church with your mother this Sunday! Many of us wish we could!

Everyone in Port O’Connor and certainly our Church, are looking forward to the upcoming “Warrior’s Weekend” on May 18 and 19. Everyone must do everything possible to insure a fantastic weekend for our Heroes.

Our Vacation Bible School will be June 11 to June 14., Doesn’t seem possible that there is only one more month before school is out for the summer! The Vacation Bible School this year will be “Amazing Wonders – Aviation”. It will be an interesting and exciting time for all children in PreK through the 6th grade.

The Children’s Summer Camp at Palacios Baptist Encampment, a great summer camp for children 3rd through 6th grade, will be June 19-21. You must register as soon as possible. Registration forms are available at the church. The children will depart Port O’Connor on Monday, June 18 and return on Thursday, June 21.

The Youth Camp this year will be at Camp Zephyr June 25-29. Candice Stryker is in charge of this camp.

See you in church Sunday!
