Seadrift School resumed classes for the 2012 fall semester on Monday, August 27. A “Welcome Back” message greeted students as they entered the building and settled in for this new year of learning and friendships.
Shortly after 10:00 a.m. several people from the community assembled in the foyer in a show of support for the students, the staff and their principal, Dwanna Finster. Through a combined offering from the people of the Seadrift Assembly of God Church and the Seadrift First United Methodist Church, school supplies, such as paper, pencils and Kleenex, were purchased and delivered for the use and benefit of the school children in the community.
