Carol Deloach, long time resident of Port O’Connor, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2014. Carol was born December 15, 1940 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Carol is survived by her loving husband Charles Deloach, also of Port O’Connor, her seven sons; Troy, James, Todd, Glenn, Dennis, Scott, & Joseph, and two daughters; Lisa and Pam. Carol is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Carol was held Thursday, July 17 on King Fisher Pier in Port O’Connor.

Richard Henry Hasdorff
February 6, 1946 – June 30, 2014

Richard Henry Hasdorff, 68, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 30, 2014 at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas. He was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from Highlands High School in 1964.

After high school, he worked for many years as a residential and commercial electrician before joining USAA in 1977. He was employed by USAA until his retirement in 1998.

After retirement, he enjoyed many years fishing at his home in Port O’Connor, Texas and working on his ranch in Rosanky, Texas. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, puttering around in his shop and spending time with his family and golden retriever.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hasdorff; daughters Sheralyn East; Mandy Johnson; and Laurie Schmaltz; grandchildren Kristina, Mindy, Bailey, Zane, Lindsay, Annabelle and Gabriel and his beloved pets Blondie and Tex.

Private scattering of ashes to be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in Richard’s memory to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation in lieu of flowers.

Paula LuGene Price, a resident of Coulterville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. She was born December 23, 1949, in Redbud, Illinois to Charles Lee and Leta Jean “Totsie” Rowney.

Paula is survived by her husband, John, of Coulterville and her brother Clyde Rowney of Port O’Connor, Texas.

A celebration of life service was held at Coulterville V.F.W. Memorial donations may be made to the Randolph County (Illinois) Humane Society.

Ella Dorine Thurman Hubbell, 93, of Seadrift, passed away June 18, 2014, in Seadrift, TX. She was born September 3, 1920, in Carter County, OK to the late Thomas Bluford and Molly Elizabeth Thurman.

She is survived by her sons, Clarence Carl and wife, Pat Hubbell of Gilmer, TX, Joe Bob and wife, Elaine Hubbell of Edna, Thurman Lee (Bo) Hubbell of Victoria, George Aaron Hubbell of Arizona, and Jesse Wayne and wife, Rebecca Hubbell of Houston; sister, Lucy Ida Pearl Buchanan; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Hubbell; five brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren; and parents.

Graveside Services were held Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Seadrift Cemetery.

Lillian L. Wilson, 80 of Seadrift passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was born in Seadrift to the late Frank and Lillie May Morgenroth Ryon on December 3, 1933. Lillian enjoyed crafts, crocheting and made beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements. She retired from Dresser Industry where she was a secretary, and later worked for The Harbor.

Lillian is survived by her son Steve Wilson of Houston; and several cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her brother, Frank M. Ryon, III and daughter in law, Karen West.

Memorial in Lillian’s name may be made to The Harbor at 215 W. Railroad, Port Lavaca, Texas 77979.

Private arrangements entrusted to the care of Grace Funeral Chapel.
