The Calhoun County Conservative Club invites you to attend their monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 9, where State Representative Geanie Morrison will be the featured speaker.

Also, Jack Marr, Republican candidate for District Judge, will be on hand to visit and answer questions.

Conservative Club meetings are held at the Heritage Center, 2104 West Austin in Port Lavaca. Meet and greet time is from 11:15 to 11:30 a.m. Lunch ($5) is served from 11:30 until noon. The program begins at noon.

Avery

Tiny is a small Dachshund mix about 5 years old with many good years ahead of him. The touches of white make him sparkle, and his lively behavior and happy disposition will fill your home with laughter and love.

Black and tan (always nice) with a titch of white (adds some spice), Avery is a long hair Chihuahua mix about 2 years old. He’s a small guy, extremely loving and playful, eager to please and, well, just so darned cute! Come see Avery and Tiny and all the other animals at the Port Lavaca Animal Shelter, 201 Stringham Drive (across from the rodeo arena), Monday through Saturday, 10 to 2, or call the Calhoun County Humane Society, 553-8916.
