Deadline To Protest 2022 Property Values
The Calhoun County Appraisal District mailed over 22,000 appraisal notices on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Additional appraisal notices will be mailed out at a later date. The deadline for filing a protest with the Appraisal Review Board (ARB) this year is May 16th or 30 days from the day the notice was mailed to you whichever is later. The deadline to protest is on your notice of appraised value.
Any property owner who disagrees with the appraised value of their property or any other action by the appraisal district has the right to protest to the Calhoun County Appraisal Review Board (ARB).
Should you want to informally discuss your property value with an appraiser please call 361-552-4560 x 3. Give your name, telephone number & Property ID number to the attendant. An appraiser will return your call if one is not immediately available. Should an appraiser not return your phone call, be sure to file your written protest to protect your rights.
