Father, Son Team Bring Extensive Local Area Knowledge To Middle Texas Boaters

SEADRIFT, Texas – Nov. 3, 2021 – With an eye toward delivering premier on-water assistance to boaters across Texas, Sea Tow Services International has announced the opening of Sea Tow Middle Coast Texas, the company’s fourth franchise in the state.

Owners Capt. Jeff Larson and Capt. Brennen Larson bring decades of on-water experience to aid boaters from Ayers Bay to Matagorda Bay as well as East Matagorda Bay with a full range of services such as ungroundings, jump starts, gasoline drops and more.

“We’re delighted that Captains Jeff and Brennen Larson are expanding our company footprint with the addition of Sea Tow Middle Coast Texas,” said Sea Tow CEO Captain Joseph Frohnhoefer III. “Their local knowledge, experience, expertise and dedication to serving others ensures that Sea Tow members, and other boaters in the area, will receive the highest level of professional service should they need assistance on the water.”

The area of responsibility for Sea Tow Middle Coast Texas is nationally known by fishermen and hunters, which comprise the vast majority of boaters in the area. One common issue these boaters often run into on the water is a rapidly falling tide and low water, which can leave them stranded.

“Most of our work will be ungroundings as lots of boats here end up high and dry at low tide,” Capt. Brennen added. “We know that sometimes even the most experienced boaters misjudge the tide, get stuck and need some help. If that happens, we’re here to help them and just a phone call away.”

While preparing to open the new location, Capt. Brennen worked with Capt. Brandon Upton of Sea Tow Corpus Christi extensively for training, gaining experience and honing his on-water assistance skills.

“There are not many people – including those much older than Brennen – that have his experience and skill level,” Capt. Jeff, Brennen’s father, said. “When Brennen was nine years old, he helped me save a fishing guide from drowning by carefully driving the boat over to me when I was in the water rendering assistance.”

The Larsons are well known in the area as captains who are ready to help others in need, both on and off the water.

“We believe in giving back to the community,” Capt. Jeff Larson said. “We’ve participated in the Wounded Warrior Project by taking veterans out fishing and have contributed time and money to the Castaway Youth Charities. We also participate in trash pickups to keep our area clean.”
