Seadrifters sing praises to the Lord.

Seadrifters sing praises to the Lord.

Have you ever considered worshiping with five or six denominations other than your own? We all have so much in common! Please join us at 6:00, July 31, at the Seadrift Pavilion and count your blessings. Enjoy local music, share a simple meal, and offer your praises within a beautiful, blessed environment. Bring your kids, (activities provided), your Bible, and your lawn chair, and a side dish for the meal, if you can. You will be glad you came!

All of these Bay Front services have been made possible because of a generous grant provided by Formosa Religious Trust. Each of Seadrift’s local churches is taking part in this wonderful event.

The Purple Heart Heroes Are Coming

On August 6th, between 75 and 100 Purple Heart Recipients will descend on Port O’Connor for their own Warrior’s Weekend fishing tournament called the Purple Heart Challenge.  5D Steakhouse is the host of the tournament and the actual fishing day is August 7th.  Although a few of these heroes fished with us in May, most were asked to wait until August and they have.  There will be a welcome dinner at 5D on Friday night, the 6th and boat captains who have signed up are invited to join them.  If you are going to be able to join us on Friday night, please let us know by emailing us at warriorswknd@yahoo.com.  After fishing on Saturday, the 7th, awards, trophies and cash,  will be given out at 5D where the boat captains are welcome once again.  The 7th is National Purple Heart Day and thus the reason that date was chosen.  We are very much looking forward to hosting these heroes and hope many of you will come down to Froggie’s to greet them either when they depart around 7am or when they weigh in which is from 12-3pm.

We wish to thank our boat captains once again who make what we do possible.  Many of you have created relationships with our heroes over the years and now you have the opportunity to meet some new ones perhaps.  Our philosophy is that anyone who has shed blood for this country are invited to any of our events.  We probably will have our heroes park at 5D and make their way to Froggie’s.  It would be nice if on Saturday morning, the 7th, we had an armada of golf carts/RTVs to carry them down.  Probably around 6:00 am.  We hope to see you there.
