James-Crouch
James Robert Crouch was received to eternal life April 15, 2024. He was born in Dallas, Texas, the eldest son of Crockett Louis Crouch and Mary Elizabeth Braman Crouch on March 4, 1935.

Jim attended school in Lockhart, Texas and graduated with the class of 1953. He attended Texas A&M University and was a member of the Aggie Band. Jim met the love of his life, Barbara Sue Jackson in Port Lavaca, Texas and they were married there on June 25, 1955. Jim and Barbara lived in Jacksonville, North Carolina while Jim served as Lance Corporal in the Marines. Upon discharge from the service, Jim and Barbara moved back to Lockhart to raise their family. Jim attended Southwest Texas State University where he received a Business Degree. Known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor, Jim was active in the Lockhart community working as a radio disc jockey for KHRB Radio (and known locally as the “Mouth of the South”). He was a summer manager of the Lockhart State Park Pool, and a boy scout leader. He was a member and officer of the Lockhart Jaycees. Later, he worked for Voigt Construction and Corral Industries before turning his interest to becoming a saltwater fishing guide. In 1980, Jim and Barbara moved to Port O’Connor, Texas and he established the Can’t Miss Saltwater Charter Service. They had an active life in Port O’Connor and hosted many fishing guests and friends at their home. Jim and Barbara enjoyed beachcombing and spending time on Matagorda Island. The beachcombing excursions resulted in bringing home driftwood which Jim would work into carvings of Texas shorebirds. In 2005, Jim and Barbara retired to Bastrop, Texas to be closer to their children. They enjoyed their home and watching the wildlife that came through their yard. Jim was very proudly an Aggie, and his favorite color was maroon!

He is survived by his children, Joni Groom and Jimmy Crouch, grandchildren Constance Crouch and Shawn Crouch (Tara), great grandchildren Arthur Louis Crouch and Charlotte Ann Crouch. Georgia
Georgia Ann Stilwell, 82, passed away at home on April 15, 2024, one day before her 83rd birthday. She was born on April 16, 1941 in Kansas City, MO and lived in Houston, Texas the past 50 years.

Georgia was passionate about many things, from her family and friends, to her hobbies. She knew her way around a rod & reel. Her and Bob spent 43 years at their bay house in Port O’Connor, TX catching fish and having parties. It was her home away from home and her happy place. She always talked about the people she knew there, too many to name, but they know who they are. She loved anything to do with the beach and the Gulf. She collected seashells, lighthouses, mermaids and she loved being out on the water. When she had her feet planted on solid ground, she spent many hours doing crafts. Her craft room was over the top. She especially loved creating greeting cards. I’m sure if you knew Georgia for more than 5 minutes, you received one of her cards. Georgia also loved to travel. She has been all over the US and had also traveled to Europe and the UK. What Georgia liked the most about those trips was that she took one or more of her children with her. But besides Bob, her great love was Santa Claus. Georgia was a true believer and loved celebrating Christmas more than anything.

Georgia held various accounting/banking positions throughout the years, from The Federal Reserve in Kansas City to Worley Parsons in Houston, TX.

Georgia is preceded by both parents, one sister, one brother and one son.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 43 years, Robert (Bob) G. Stilwell, sister Frances Kessler of Overland Park, KS. Her daughter, Stella Graham of Katy, TX. Sons, Benjamin Kiser and spouse Charlotte of Jacksonville, TX, Eddie Kiser and spouse Kelly of Houston, TX. Carl Kiser and spouse Shelly of Montgomery, TX.
Step-sons, Robert G. Stilwell Jr. and spouse Mary of Houston, TX. Michael Stilwell and partner Tonya Dow of Angleton, TX and William Stilwell of Jacksonville, FL. Along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was our heart and we will miss her deeply.

A celebration of life for Georgia will be scheduled at a later date.
