You Don’t Need a Tournament to Enjoy Fishing!
Port O’Connor was hoppin’ with tournaments all summer, and we hope everyone had a great time. We’re at the end of the season and things should be getting a little less busy around here. But plenty of fishermen, both out of towners and locals, will still be casting into our waters, hoping to catch that big one.
Remember, we are always pleased to share your fishing photos with our readers. (They don’t have to be big ones to show how much fun you or your children had fishing here.) Send to dolphin1@tisd.net

This photo is of Luke Leiker and his son, Kolt, both Port O’Connor residents, was taken during the last days of the 2019 red snapper season. The seas were somewhat rough while going out to the fishing grounds and also while actually fishing. Kolt was quite the trooper hanging in there with the bouncing boat and seemed to enjoy all the fishing activity going on around him. It was great to see father and son making memories together. The red snapper fishing was great and we hated to see the season come to a close much too early again this year. -Dave Pope

Folks from San Antonio enjoyed a recent morning fishing charter with limits of trout with Capt. Ron Arlitt of Scales and Tales Guide Service of Port O’Connor. Winds were light and bite was on. Several of the folks had never fished Port O’Connor before. They had a great time!

Town Hall Meeting
Port O’Connor Cemetery Association
Town Hall Meeting
Date: Thursday, September 12th
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location: Port O’Connor Community Center Pavilion
Please plan to attend a very important town hall meeting, about the P.O.C. Cemetery and its rules, regulations, and bylaws.
A few of us are trying our very best to maintain the upkeep of the cemetery, but it’s getting to the point where we need more help.
Please remember your loved ones that are resting there and help us with this community service that benefits everyone in the Port O’Connor community.
Thanks,
Port O’Connor Cemetery Association
* NOTICE: If you have bricks for reserving plots at the Cemetery, the Association asks that you check them to make sure they are labeled and not buried. Thank you.
