As part of the Annual Masonic Home and School Fantastic Teeth Program, Seadrift Lodge #1098 Bro. Royce E. Smith, Bro. Stockton M. Quiery, and Bro. Raul G. Gutierrez presented the Port O’Connor, Seadrift, and Tivoli elementary first graders, nurse, and teachers, with Dental Hygiene Kits. Bro Royce E. Smith explained the importance of everyday dental Hygiene and demonstrated how to brush their teeth and use floss correctly. One of the highlights was teaching the first graders how to use the small hour glass for two minutes brushing their teeth correctly.

Seadrift School hosted Family Reading Night on Tuesday, February 28. The event was from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Students and their families were invited to participate in several different reading or book related stations between 5:15 and 6:15 pm. The finale for the event was having a book walk, similar to a cake walk.

In 45 minutes the school gave away almost 100 books to students who participated in Family Reading Night.
