SEADRIFT – Barbara Ann Estes, age 82 of Seadrift passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Houston. She was born November 2, 1932 in Allentown, PA to the late Morris Nagle and Carmelita O’ Donald Nagle.

She is survived by her sons, David Estes of Houston, Eric and wife Jana Estes of Seadrift; sister Sally Wendling of Ocean City, MD and brother John Nagle of Del Ray, FL. She is also survived by countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Jody Estes.

Visitation and services were held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Artero Memorial Chapels in Port Lavaca.

SEADRIFT – Prescal O. Davenport, age 89, of Seadrift ,passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015.

He was born May 15, 1926 in Uvalde, Texas to the late Preston O. Davenport and Minnie Lee Gully Davenport.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Marie Rhoades Davenport of Seadrift; sons, Johnny Peck Davenport, James Davenport, and Shannon Davenport. He is also survived by numerous step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Margaret Nell; brother, Johnny Davenport; and sister, Natalie Davenport Hopper.

My wonderful husband Prescal O. Davenport made a full journey through his life from a baby boy to a man in the U.S. Navy. He had water in his blood and remained there to his last and final breath. Over his life he held several jobs but the lure of the water always drew him back.

He was a lifelong shrimper and owner of D & D Seafood. Over his lifetime he was the proud owner of several boats (2 Gulf boats), The American Whitney and The Susanne, Bay Boats (Tar Baby and Nancy Sue). So many adventures he made over his life, he has now made his last adventure sailing away into the arms of Our Lord and Savior.

Graveside service was held at Tivoli Cemetery in Tivoli on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 with full military honors under the auspices of Calhoun County Combined Honor Guard.
Pallbearers were Brandon James Davenport, Michael Klamm, Glen Davenport, Kenneth Stuckey, Alois Kurtz, Robert Bryant, and Carlton ‘Butch’ Hopper.

July 7, 1958 – August 22, 2015
David Lee began life as a chubby little blue eyed precious boy on July 7, 1958 in Anson, Jones Co., Texas.
David was a mechanic from the time he was four years old. He loved taking things apart and sometimes getting them back together again. He was working at Enterprise Productions as a mechanic at the time of his death.
His life ended doing what he loved to do…fishing. David had many fishing buddies and hunting pals, and will be missed by many.
He graduated from Stroman High School in 1977 and went on to work in numerous places, always with his hands.
He is preceded in death by his brother Damon Curtis Linley.
David is survived by his loving wife Carmen “Ginger” Swaney Linley, his precious daughter Natasha Linley of Bark River, MI, step daughter Jacci McFalls and Jett, granddaughters Faith and Rylee McFalls of Victoria, his parents Butch and JoLea Linley of Victoria, his brother Douglas Linley and Debbie of Victoria, sisters Vickie Bailey and Ronald of Goliad, Lisa Gaye Meyer and John of Beeville, and Rhonda Kay York and Bill of Corpus Christi.
Funeral services were held August 26, 2015 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with burial following at Wood Hi Cemetery. Pallbearers were Douglas Linley, Jett McFalls, Ed Swaney, Ronnie Bailey, Dennis Branden, and Curtis Polozeck.

Mary-ChristyMary Christy Johnston passed away on August 20, 2015 after a two-year fight with cancer. She was 52 years old.
Her daughter, Tina, wants her family and friends in America to know that Mary had no pain and a peaceful death.
