SEADRIFT – Isabel Flores, age 78 of Seadrift, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Seadrift.. She was born on November 20, 1936 in Premont to the late Candelario Morales and Natividad Quintanilla Morales. She was married to late Andres Flores Jr. for 57 years.

She is survived by her sons; Joe (Patricia) Flores of Victoria, Ruben (Robbin) Flores of Cuero, Richard (Joanne) Flores of Bay City, and David (Deborah) Flores of Austin, daughters; Lily (Felipe) Vasquez of Seadrift, and Rosalinda Garcia of Port Lavaca, sisters; Ofelia Zavaleta of Bakersfield, California, Elva (Arturo) Hernandez of Falfurias, and Margarita (Juan) Vargas of Premont, brother; Candelario (Norma) Morales of Coonrapids, Minn., 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons; Andres Flores III, and Mario Flores, daughter; Esparanza Morales, and brothers; Ismael Morales and Jose Maria Morales.

A prayer service with Father Scott Hill officiating was held August 11 at Artero Memorial Chapels in Port Lavaca. A private burial will be held at a later date.

HALLETTSVILLE – Lorrie Teresa Nelson, 62, of Hallettsville, left this world on Sunday, August 2, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Teresa was born on April 26, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of JB and Lorraine ‘Lorrie’ (Valigura) Nelson.

She is survived by her parents; her son, Lance Jenkins; her brother, Jimmy Nelson and wife, Margie; sister, Valerie Nelson; grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Lance, JR., Levin, and Abigail; 7 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and loving friends.

Teresa is preceded in death by her two brothers: Jay and Joel Nelson and her beloved dog of 13 years, Sugar.

Teresa wished to be cremated, and celebrations of her life are pending for later dates.

Carolyn A. Millspaw
1955 ~ 2015

Seadrift: Carolyn A. Millspaw, 60, of Seadrift passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born in Aransas Pass on June 15, 1955 to the late Richard T. Carter and Ruth Carter Wittnebert. Carolyn was a loving homemaker who enjoyed family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and always be remembered.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Timothy Millspaw Sr.; daughters, Candice (Eduardo) Bribiesca-Garcia, Stacey (Peter) DeForest, Cheryl Millspaw (Neal) and Rebecca (George) Ureste; son, Timothy (Stephanie) Millspaw Jr.; sister, Ariel Robinson; brother, Richard P. (Debby) Carter; granddaughters, Cassandra & Reagan Odell, Shelby DeForest, Emily Cain, Leslie Smith, Amy Clendennen; grandsons, Peter, Jr, Gage and Brian DeForest, Ryan and Luke Cain, Caden Clendennen, Josh and Zachary Ureste; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Floyd Wittnebert; sisters, Janice Carter Howlett, Deborah Carter Martin; and brother, George Carter.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Grace Funeral Chapel in Port Lavaca with Pastor David Holley officiating. Burial followed at Seadrift Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas in Carolyn’s honor.

SEADRIFT – Floyd Cecil Raby 70 of Seadrift passed away July 28, 2015. He was born October 2, 1944 in Three Rivers, Texas to the late Harvey Cecil and Mary Alice Raby.
Graveside services with full military honors were held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Seadrift Cemetery.
