I was fishing in Port O’Connor on June 26 and caught the most beautiful redfish I’ve ever seen, with 8 spots total (arguably 9).
As you can imagine, being from POC, I’ve done a vast amount of fishing in my 34 years but I’ve never seen a red with so many spots. My eyes just lit up with excitement.

I hope everyone that loves fishing as much as I do, can appreciate the rarity of this impressive beauty.

Group from Centerville Texas with recent catch fishing with Capt. Ron of Scales and Tales Guide Service of Port O Connor. After a early morning departure from the dock, croakers were used to land the fish in a short time. They are looking forward to their next outing.

The big boats may be offshore catching the really big ones during Poco Bueno, but Weston Kane, age 9, did pretty good closer in. He caught his first keeper redfish, 23 and 25 inches, while fishing with grandfather, Joe Wiatt.

Jaxson and Katie Chambers, grandchildren of Cal and Irene Junek, had a good morning fishing with Papa.
