What a delightful and informative educational event at the POC Community Garden on March 12th! The attendees knew if they didn’t go, they’d be “square” for missing out on all the gardening wisdom!  The meeting provided  a valuable opportunity for learning and sharing knowledge about gardening practices, such as Square Foot Gardening and Companion Planting, both excellent techniques for maximizing space and promoting plant health. Folks enjoyed the Question and Answer Session that followed.

A huge thank you to Dawn Ragusin of Studio 14 for drawing us a garden mural at the Community Garden. Her contribution adds a vibrant touch and enhances the beauty of the garden and the outdoor spaces. It’s exciting to think about the impact such artwork can have on visitors, creating a more engaging and inspiring environment for everyone to enjoy. Feel free to drop by and see the work in progress.
Many thanks to our donors, Donna and Roy Mackey, for providing a hummingbird feeder. It will be a joy to watch those feathered friends in our lovely garden.

Our local gardening expert Terri McGuire, did another great job talking to the 20 attendees at our monthly educational gathering. This past Tuesday we learned from her about Square foot gardening, companion planting , along with lots of garden hacks useful for our upcoming spring plant. Terri knows her stuff , and she even had door prizes and refreshments! Several plot members have already started getting their spots planted. Thanks again Terri for your preparation and presentation on a topic that was so timely ! Come see the progress !
