“We’re blessed, we’re blessed, we are blessed…” is a song a friend of mine wrote several years ago to express his feelings – that is the same feeling we share today! God is so good and it is so good to experience His blessings! We have experienced a wonderful month with more blessings than we can count! The Lord has been bringing in some old friends and some new friends to help encourage us in our walk with Christ.

Our All Church Fellowship on February 13 was a great success. We dined on fine china, with crystal. Our meal was baked ham, baked potato, and a generous salad – and of course, more desserts than we could consume. It was a precious evening as we played “the newly-wed game”. Our children received special care from “Chickie” and Perla and enjoyed hot dogs with all the fixings. It was truly a night to remember.

This past weekend, we had our Annual Meeting of the Members. At that special service, we saw the financial report for 2010 that showed we reduced our indebtedness over $21,000.00 and gave over 25% of our total income to missionary projects! We have experienced a yearly average growth in every service! “We are blessed!” We also reelected Martie Gonzales, Patrick Overton, and Kenneth Smith to our Board of Directors. It was a great evening of praise for the Lord’s blessings upon the Chapel.

March has many exciting events planned. Patrick Overton is scheduled to minister on Wednesday, March 2. On March 6, in the morning service only, Evangelist Rod Vincent will be here with us. This will be a great service – hope you can come!

Then on Sunday evening, we will have our Annual Chili Cook-Off. Since the past several years I have been awarded last place, I am personally hoping that we have less biased judges! Come, bring your best pot of chili and join in the fun. We will also be celebrating two special birthdays – Papaw (Larry Gonzales) will be celebrating his 90th and Dell Girard will be celebrating his 92nd. Everyone should come and wish these two special men a happy birthday!

On “Time Change” day, when we loose an hour of sleep, Brother Jessie Alderete will be ministering bilingually in the a.m. service. In the evening service, we have musical guests from Seguin, who will present a Gospel Concert. Included in those guests will be the Reverend Don Wiehe and his wife, who are concert performers with the San Antonio Orchestra. It will be an evening to enjoy the music of Heaven.

Fisherman’s Bible Institute is about to finish their semester and several will graduate from this intense three year Bible study program. Our Friday Night Youth continue to meet each Friday, except the first Friday of the month. We continue offering our regular activities of the Chapel, and hope we can serve you!

“Come, grow with us.”
