SEADRIFT – Henry Allen Starkweather, 76, of Seadrift, made his journey on Sunday, April 1, 2012. He was born March 19, 1936, in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Maria Starkweather; three daughters, Sherry Starkweather of Cleveland, TX, Susan Cardena and Marylynn Blanton of Seadrift. He is also survived by one son, Henry Allen Starkweahter Jr. of Seadrift; and one sister, Kathleen Shirley of Victoria, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Inola Starkweather.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Seadrift. He was a member of the Seadrift Volunteer Fire Department for over forty years.

He worked for Parker Brothers Dredging Company and Bacon Towing Co. for many years. He was a truck driver for Seasonal Seafood in Seadrift.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church in Seadrift, Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed at Seadrift Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Seadrift Volunteer Fire Dept., Fire Chief Peter Deforest, John Dufner, Tim Millspaw, Steve O’Briant, Terry Gilliland, Gerhard Newman, Frank Gerking Jr., and Henry Starkweather Jr.

Honorary pallbearers: Longtime friend, Leroy Cady, Carlos Cardena, Tommy Blanton, Dale Pendergrass, Shannon Holder, Roger Wooldridge, and Timothy Shake.
