Charles Grant Harper III, “Rocky”, 73, of Katy Tx, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2019. He was born on August 22, 1946 to the late Mary and Charles Harper Jr in Jasper, Alabama.

Charles was known by friends and loved ones as Rocky but his most cherished title of all was Gramps.
After high school Charles proudly served in the US Army.

He was known as a loving and devoted father who took great pride in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Krystal Muñoz (Jason) of Katy, son Charles Harper of Galveston, sister Jeanna Guptill, brothers George Harper, James Harper, John Harper, grandchildren Jacob Harper, Julian Muñoz, Drake Muñoz, Mackenzie Harper, Caedyn Harper, great-grandchildren Dj Harper, Valencia Harper, Leo Muñoz. Charles is preceded in death by his mother Mary Rather, father Charles Harper Jr, sister Sara Connor.

The Celebration of Life was held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 12:15 p.m., after which he was escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, where he was laid to rest and a grateful Nation will bestow him with honors.
