This is the time of year when our population increases, not just on the week-ends, but for the whole winter. A few folks have second homes, some are in rentals, but most spend their winters here in one of our RV parks.

There are a dozen or more RV parks in the Port O’Connor/Seadrift area, and they seem to be a bit fuller this year, most likely due to the Covid restrictions in some other states.

Whatever the reason, we welcome these “Winter Texans” and hope they will take full advantage of all we have to offer. And may they return home this spring having experienced a good time thanks to our Texas Hospitality.

Veronica-and-Mike
Veronica and Mike Warner from Ontario, Canada, have spent the past nine winters at The Two RV Park. From November to April, they enjoy their “quiet little hideaway” . They enjoy the weather and the people, and are happy they discovered Port O’Connor on the internet.

John-Hase
An avid fisherman, John Hase discovered his wintering grounds by researching the internet for a place with good weather and fishing. Northern Minnesota is his home, but in this, his ninth winter here, he is in the process of making Port O’Connor his permanent home.

Tom-and-Pat
Tom Ekstrom discovered the magic of Port O’Connor on a fishing trip many years ago. In 1990, he and his wife, Pat, began spending winters here. In 2012, they moved from Colorado to their Port O’Connor home and have become an important part of our community.
