United with a common goal, fueled by their camaraderie, and willing to face any danger, the Port O’Connor Volunteer Fire Department is ready to serve.

Each of its twenty-six members are dedicated volunteers. Their chief, Nathan O’Neill, is committed as well.

Eight of the twenty-six volunteers are EMS certified. All of them follow America’s long-held tradition of volunteerism. In fact, 2022 is the Department’s 70th year of service!

Their annual fundraiser held on July 2nd was to raise funds to replace the chassis on their rescue truck. A four-mile run called Fireman 4 Race was held on July 2nd as well. Proceeds from the Fireman 4 Race go towards the purchase of gear for the firemen.
