The Larry H. group from North Texas and Oklahoma down for their 14th annual fall fishing trip with Capt. RJ Shelly, caught a ton of drum at the Jetties on 9/23.

Jim Wofford from Liberty Hill caught his first bull red while fishing Matagorda Bay with his brother. Also caught were Jack Crevalle, gafftop, and Spanish mackerel.
Rita Herring of Houston caught her first red last week while visiting David Walker of Port O’Connor.

George Robertson 3rd, better known as Benny, came to Port O’Connor last week to visit his parents G.B. and Ruby Robertson.
While here he helped his father do a lot of needed work on their house.
After the work he got to go fishing with Dixie Howell and his dad. Using his favorite lure a one quarter ounce Johnson sprite gold spoon. Most of the specks were too small to keep ,but he had a ball catching them.
He just about wore me and Dixie out and did not want to quit fishing.
His mother and I hope he can get back here to visit and fish before long. Maybe the specks will grow up by then.
