We can finally really tell that fall is here! And we have been blessed with some much needed rain! Cooler days and rain; who could ask for more?

So many activities are taking place at FBC this month and next. Come and be part of them. There is always room for more smiling faces. It is almost time to turn in the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas shoe boxes for distribution to underprivileged children around the world. We work on filling them all year with small gifts, school supplies and toiletries, etc. Our goal this year is to fill 200 boxes. If you would like to be part of this very important ministry, we will meet each Wednesday , for the next 4 weeks, at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary building to work on them.

Our men’s and women’s Bible studies are both in full swing now. The men meet at 7:00 p.m. on each Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall and just started studying the book of Titus. They welcome new participants any time. The ladies are half way through their study on worshipping God on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. They also welcome anyone who would like to join them.

TEAM KIDS is attracting new first through fifth graders each week. This past Wednesday evening was the second monthly family dinner. The second Wednesday of every month FBC welcomes the families of our children for food and fellowship. The children like to show off some of what they learn each week and enjoy dinner with their families. If you have or know of a child in this age group, call the church for details of how to enroll them.

If you haven’t already marked your calendars for POC Community Thanksgiving, now is the time. Sunday ,November 12, 2023, will be here before you know it! This year it will be held at FBC at 6:00 p.m. This is such a special time for our community’s citizens, weekenders and visitors. Don’t miss it.

Remember that we have a full week of activities for young and not so young. Sundays at 10:00 a.m. is Sunday School. At 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. we have church services. Tuesdays are Bible Studies for men and women. Wednesdays, FBC hosts all youth from first grade through fifth for TEAM KIDS and sixth through twelfth grade for Youth Activities. Thursday is the new time for Prayer Meetings at 6:00 p.m. FBC is waiting to welcome all who want to take part in any of these functions. If you can’t attend, watch the Sunday Services on the FBC Facebook page. Call the church at 361-983-2727 if you need more information
